Recently The Blacksmithed launched The Blacksmithed Music Site to be the source of all quality hiphop from the Eastern Cape. This site was launched to support singles but when OTE Artistry approached The Blacksmithed to premier their new tape we knew this had to be done even if it meant re-working the site!

OTE Artistry is one of the prominent hiphop collectives in the Eastern Cape. These artists have worked together to make sure that they always have something new and fresh for their followers. 2015 saw this group put out over a half a dozen tapes, videos, an Android app and a well-organised event. In 2016 the group plans to do even more, going to show that they’re not about to stop any time soon.

Besides OTE’s appearance at #OHWeek2016 presented by Illumonate Djs, ‘The 2nd Level EP’ is OTE’s first offering of the year and they promise this is just the calm before the storm. The tape features M2kane, Isaac-Wison, EezyThaDon, Dee, Gxeezy, D’OBz and Lwaistar. All the production on the tape was taken from a beat tape Tweezy recently dropped called ‘2’.

According to OTE, the 2nd Level EP was made to celebrate the Artistry milestone of 1000 likes on Facebook. Tweezy has encouraged artists to jump on the beats and OTE plans to get his attention by doing justice to them. The Artistry is growing; it plans to feed this community quality music until it’s big enough to make a difference.
